Get the show on the road with this one-off chopper by Heavy Duty
Cycles. You won't have to worry about getting noticed when you roll into
the show on this one. Every part on this bike is by a top quality
manufacturer or hand fabricated out of steel. No expense spared and no
fiberglass here!
This one may have started with a DayTech frame, but don't think you
could buy this one off the shelf. Check out the tail of this bike. That rear
fender that hugs the 250 Avon is hand welded, formed and ground out
of all steel - no bondo. Check out the custom hand molded LED rear tail
light. Don't worry about it being too pretty to hit the road, all the
electrics are sandwiched between two layers of steel with a trapdoor for
service access. It's all about style AND function.
You won't see much electrical on this bike, all wiring is routed internally
in the frame wherever possible. Even the coils are hidden beneath the
hand-formed, skirted oil bag. Don't see a speedometer pickup on the
transmission? Don't worry, the GPS speedometer works just fine with
the satellite pickup hidden in the Headwinds headlamp bucket.
Obviously this one wasn't bolted together. Notice how the styling on the
weld wheels and Pro-One forward controls compliment the form of the
hand crafted rear fender support. And wait until you see that pearl white
come alive when the sun shines down on it. Check out the flow of the
bars with integrated headlamp mount on the 7 degree Pro-One front
end.
Enough about style you say, what about performance? Well you won't
have to worry about that either because the S&S 124 cubic inch
powerplant coupled to a 5 speed RevTech transmission by the BDL Top
Fuel belt drive will put the power to the ground and get you where you
want to go - fast! With those dual runner side draft Webers dyno-tuned
one per cylinder, this one is ready to run.
Hate pulling the clutch on those monster belt drive springs? You won't
on this bike, because the hydraulic clutch by Pro-One and Joker machine
is smooth as silk. You'll need to be able to control this beast when or if
you decide to stop. GMA calipers front end and rear do the job just fine.
